* Many of Darby's paintings are created in "unorthodox" manners (e.g. using her breasts/body, real butterflies, solid glitter, and more...) to produce masterpieces.

* Darby is HIV+, and as of 2009 progressed to full blown AIDS though know one would know the difference by just looking at her.

* Photography is a massive indulgence for her next to waking up in the morning & eating cheesecake.

* Darby paints because of her natural love to create, and people do not buy her pieces because they have her name on them but more because she has discovered a way to converse with her own emotions through her pieces that others find a familiarity of it within themselves. The buyers themselves become part of the conversation because they too have felt the emotion glimpsed within the art...
